Travel Plug Finder

Navigate the world's fifteen electrical outlet standards. Find compatibility and adapter requirements.

The harnessing of the electric fluid in the late nineteenth century gave rise to a chaotic proliferation of connection standards. As different nations adopted varying voltages and frequencies, a vast menagerie of plugs emerged. The British Type G standard, established in 1946, remains the zenith of electrical safety, with shuttered live pins and a fuse built into every plug.
