Score (Time)

Modern equivalent

20 years

A traditional vigesimal score unit of time equivalent to a period of 20 years, frequently used historically to track generations and eras.

Preserved famously in historic literature and political speeches—most notably Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address ("four score and seven years ago" meaning 87 years)—the score counted vigesimal blocks of time. While less common in modern mathematics, it remains a vital historical benchmark for understanding archaic legal literature and generational tracking.
